We are currently working with a well-established main contractor who is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of construction projects, supporting commercial delivery from pre-construction through to final account.

The Role:

As Quantity / Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of construction projects, working closely with site and project teams to ensure cost control and commercial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Measurement, valuations, and preparation of applications for payment.
  • Managing variations, change control, and final accounts.
  • Procurement and commercial management of subcontractor packages.
  • Supporting commercial reporting and maintaining cost control on live projects.

About You:

  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor.
  • Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration.
  • Experience across building projects (commercial, residential, or industrial).
  • Strong IT and reporting skills; estimating software experience beneficial.
  • Confident communicator able to work effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
