Peace Recruitment are currently working with a reputable housebuilder, and due to an increased workload, are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager for new development(s) in central Scotland. This well-known housebuilder is renowned and well-established, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional new build homes. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all workers and visitors.
  • Site Operations: Assist the Site Manager in coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including managing subcontractors, scheduling deliveries, and monitoring progress.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly to ensure the build meets or exceeds the company's and industry's standards.
  • Team Management: Support and guide the site team, including tradespeople and labourers, fostering teamwork, and motivating the workforce to achieve project milestones.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between various stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and other team members.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, reports, and paperwork, assisting with project documentation and compliance.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve challenges that arise during the construction process to minimise delays and keep the project on track.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in new build residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management or related fields are essential SMSTS CSCS and an HNC or equivalent.
