Peace Recruitment Services is working in partnership with a major supplier of fabrication machinery and machine tools to the metalworking industry to recruit an experienced Blasting Technician (Rope Access) for a long-term offshore project. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industrial blasting technician with rope access experience to join a high-profile project in the UK offshore sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting / UHP blasting and paint & coatings application on: Decks, piping, structural steel, vessels, and tanks (internal & external)
- Apply coatings and carry out surface preparation to industry standards
- Operate power tools and robotic equipment in line with company safety policies
- Prepare, operate, and inspect blast pots, spray pots, and pumps
- Ensure sufficient materials are staged on site for daily operations
- Follow all health & safety policies and procedures
- Communicate professionally with clients and site teams
- Adapt to changing work demands and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
- IRATA Rope Access Certification (minimum Level 2 preferred, Level 1 considered) from Industrial Rope Access Trade Association
- Proven experience as a Blasting Technician, Industrial Blaster, or similar role
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment (advantageous)
