We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our team on a large-scale civil engineering project in Glasgow. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of site engineering functions, ensuring works are set out accurately, completed to specification, and delivered safely and efficiently. Will be required to work on projects throughout the Central Belt of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying works using total station and GPS equipment
  • Reading, interpreting, and checking engineering drawings and specifications
  • Monitoring levels, dimensions, and quality of works in progress
  • Assisting in resolving technical issues on site in coordination with project engineers and management
  • Liaising with site and project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and as-built surveys
  • Supporting compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
  • CSCS card
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large civil or infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in the use of total stations, GPS, and other surveying instruments
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and performance

Desirable

  • First Aid or additional safety qualifications
