Overview
Peace Recruitment Services seeks two skilled Electrical Technicians to join our client’s field-based team in the North West of Scotland. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working outdoors, and being on the move. You’ll help install and maintain electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the Scottish Highlands, often in remote and rural locations. If you’re practical, proactive, and customer-focused, this is a great opportunity to be part of the transition to a more sustainable future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing, commissioning, and testing EV charging units
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and network faults
- Responding to callouts when required
- Ensuring all work meets safety standards and regulations
- Completing service reports and compliance documentation
- Working closely with colleagues, contractors, and site partners
- Representing the company professionally on-site
- Keeping tools, equipment, and your vehicle in good condition
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Experience in installation, maintenance, or field service work
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Comfortable travelling regularly, including to remote locations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
Desirable (Not Essential)
- EV charging qualifications (2921-32, 2921-33, 2921-34)
- Experience with EV infrastructure or renewable energy systems
- Knowledge of networking systems (SIM, Wi-Fi, OCPP)
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- Understanding of health & safety in field-based roles
