Based in the beautiful north of Scotland/Moray, ESS Recruit’s client is a well-known and stable CNC machining business. They have a proud history and long expertise supporting clients across construction, automotive, energy and material handling. As part of a broader performance and productivity plan they now need to make the key hire of a Site Operations Manager.
Reporting into board level, the Site Operations Manager will have full control of Operations, Quality, Engineering and ongoing CI/lean improvement projects. You will work closely with new and existing customers ensuring that all orders and work is onboarded correctly, well planned into production and key metrics like customer satisfaction, cost control, quality and delivery on time in full and right first time are met.
At a more strategic level internally, you will take the lead in the creation and execution of lasting people, process and systems change, delivering cost reductions and a high degree of increased productivity. As Operations Manager, you will play a key commercial supporting role and be comfortable and keen to engage with customers.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally be degree qualified and demonstrate considerable experience as Operations Manager / Manufacturing Manager, if possible, with a good appreciation of CNC product manufacturing or parts machining. In addition, preferred candidates will come with recognised project management and/or formal lean and CI related training and qualifications as well as a clear track record of improving macro business metrics, and at micro level really driving cultural and people change.
