The Opportunity
Peace Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a major defence client on a long-term construction and infrastructure programme valued at more than £250m. With over 400 active projects across the base, we are now recruiting experienced Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and a Delivery Manager to join the delivery team. This is a rare chance to work client-side across a diverse and technically complex portfolio, including new build facilities, demolition programmes, infrastructure upgrades and smaller works up to £2m. With a confirmed £75m spend pipeline for 2026, this role offers long-term security, variety and exceptional career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from feasibility stage through to completion
- Oversee planning, procurement, contractor management and delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality standards
- Manage stakeholder engagement in a live, operational environment
- Drive safety, compliance and effective risk management across all project stages
- Support ongoing reporting, forecasting and programme development
Experience & Skills Required
- Strong understanding of the construction process, project lifecycle and RIBA stages
- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Background in design and build contracting, consultancy or client-side project management
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence with cost control
- Demonstrable focus on site safety and compliance
- First-class communication and stakeholder management skills
Security Requirements
- Candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance (SC):
- Cannot be dual nationals
- Must not have worked outside the UK within the last 5 years
- Must be able to obtain and maintain SC clearance throughout employment
