Health & Safety Manager Glasgow Permanent Competitive salary + benefits I’m working with a well established organisation looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of the health and safety function across a multi site operation. This is a senior and autonomous role with responsibility for shaping health and safety strategy, advising senior leadership and ensuring strong standards are maintained across the business. Key responsibilities will include: • Developing and delivering the health and safety strategy • Maintaining policies, procedures and management systems • Leading audit and assurance activity • Managing accident and incident investigations • Monitoring trends, non conformances and corrective actions • Advising senior stakeholders on legislative and regulatory changes • Supporting operational teams with practical health and safety guidance • Managing contractor and third party compliance • Identifying training needs and improving H&S capability across the business • Producing clear reporting and recommendations for senior leadership They are looking for someone with strong senior level health and safety experience gained within a multi site environment. Ideally you will have: • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 H&S qualification • CMIOSH, or GradIOSH working towards chartership • Strong auditing and management systems experience • Excellent knowledge of UK health and safety legislation • Experience managing contractors and third party suppliers • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders • A practical and commercially minded approach to health and safety This is a strong opportunity for someone looking for genuine ownership of a health and safety function within an established organisation.
