I’m currently working with a well-established residential developer who is looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a multi-storey (4+ storey) residential development in Edinburgh. This is a great opportunity to be involved in a complex, quality-led scheme, supporting the delivery of the project across programme, quality, and health & safety, while working alongside an experienced Site Manager and wider project team.
- Supporting daily site operations on a multi-storey residential project
- Assisting the Site Manager with programme management and coordination of subcontractors
- Monitoring build quality and ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings and specifications
- Supporting health & safety compliance, including inductions, toolbox talks, and site inspections
- Assisting with quality checks, snagging, and defect management
- Coordinating trades and managing short-term programmes
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team
- Helping to maintain site records, inspections, and reporting
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager on residential or mixed-use developments
- Exposure to multi-storey or complex residential schemes (steel frame, concrete frame, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of build quality, health & safety, and programme delivery
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple trades on site
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong eye for detail
- Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (or working towards)
