Peace Recruitment are working with an established civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Engineer / Section Engineer for a long-term infrastructure project in East Lothian. The role will suit someone who is comfortable taking ownership of a package of works, overseeing engineering delivery and supporting less experienced engineers on site.
Responsibilities will include:
- Setting out and checking works
- QA, ITPs and as-built documentation
- RC concrete and structural civils
- Drainage and associated infrastructure works
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
We’re looking for:
- Strong Site Engineer / Section Engineer experience
- A solid background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Experience with structural concrete, drainage and general civils
- Good knowledge of QA and technical documentation
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for a package of works
- Previous experience within energy, water or major infrastructure projects would be beneficial
