This role offers the opportunity to join a growing civil engineering team based in either Edinburgh or Belfast, delivering projects across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and beyond. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure schemes while supporting the continued growth of regional capability.

Your Impact in this Position

You will play a key role in delivering projects from concept through to completion, balancing technical excellence, commercial awareness, and client engagement. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, contribute to business development activities, and support the mentoring and development of junior engineers.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
  • Approximately 5–10 years’ industry experience
  • Chartered status, or working towards chartership
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering design standards and best practice
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
  • Proactive approach to professional development and team collaboration

Working Environment

This is a hybrid role with flexibility around office location and home working, typically involving 2–3 days per week in the office. Candidates can be based in either the Edinburgh or Belfast office, with occasional travel across Scotland and Northern Ireland required to support projects and collaboration across teams.
