A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer into their Glasgow team due to continued project growth and a strong forward workload. They are open on level depending on experience but are particularly keen to speak with Senior and Principal-level engineers who can contribute both technically and from a project delivery perspective.
The Role
You’ll be working on a range of civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on drainage and development infrastructure design. This role offers a mix of:
- Hands-on technical design
- Project delivery
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
There is also scope to take on more responsibility and leadership depending on your level.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver infrastructure schemes including drainage, alignment, and general civils
- Produce and review technical outputs (drawings, calculations, reports)
- Work across a variety of sectors, potentially including water and renewables
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior engineers (Senior+ level)
- Contribute to project planning and delivery
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in civil engineering consultancy (design-focused)
- Strong background in drainage design and infrastructure/alignment design
- Proficiency in InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage workload and contribute to project delivery
Chartership & Progression
- Open to candidates working towards Chartership (ICE)
- Strong internal support and proven track record of helping engineers achieve CEng
- Clear pathway for progression, with Principal-level roles aligned to chartered status and experience
