Opportunity details
- Team: Living well team
- Likely hours: Two and a half to three hours per week on a Friday morning at Grove House or a Wednesday morning at Peace Hospice
Do you have an interest in physical and mental wellbeing? Our Move and Restore sessions use gentle, guided exercise to support people living with life-limiting illness. As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a friendly rehabilitation team, helping to create a welcoming, encouraging space where patients can take part at their own pace. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who’s kind, supportive, and happy to get involved.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting exercise sessions alongside our physiotherapy team
- Encouraging and chatting with patients throughout the session
- Helping set up equipment and refreshments
- Assisting patients to move safely around the space (If you’d like to!)
- Leading warm-ups or cool-downs once you feel confident
