Opportunity details
- Team: Bereavement, listening and talking therapies
- Likely hours: The time is flexible – we hope that you will see a minimum of 2 clients a week
Our Bereavement, listening and talking therapies team work with patients and family members to offer the opportunity to explore and express complex thoughts and emotions around the experience of dealing with life‑limiting illness and loss. We are looking for volunteers who can provide Level 3 counselling support (NICE) guidance to patients, carers, family members and close friends, from diagnosis, during treatment and following bereavement. This may involve one-to-one support in the client’s home in nursing/care homes, or over the telephone or via a virtual platform.
