On a day-to-day basis, you’ll complete maintenance and decorating tasks, ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard. You’ll report repairs and health and safety issues promptly, complete dynamic risk assessments on arrival at each site, and maintain safe working conditions throughout. You’ll attend safety meetings and training sessions, keep up to date with online learning, and ensure compliance with Peabody’s health and safety policies. You’ll also take responsibility for the care and condition of tools, equipment, and vehicles, and work collaboratively with your team to provide a seamless service for residents.
What you’ll need:
- Basic maintenance and painting experience
- Experience working with the public in their homes
- Effective time management and ability to work independently
- A full and valid manual UK Driving License
- Empathy and understanding when working with vulnerable residents, including those with mental health or substance misuse issues
- Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with health and safety regulations
What We Offer:
- 30 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays
- Two additional paid volunteering days each year
- Flexible benefits scheme, including family friendly benefits and access to a discount portal
- 4 x salary life assurance
- Up to 10% pension contribution
