As a Senior Care Support Worker at Peabody, you’ll play a vital role in helping people live their best lives – while empowering them to deliver exceptional care and support.

You’ll combine hands-on care with leadership responsibilities, making sure services run smoothly and reflect the choices and wishes of the people we support.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and mentor a team of Care Support Workers, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback
- Work with your manager to plan, deliver, and evaluate person-centred care
- Carry out quality audits, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with CQC standards
- Support customers with daily living tasks, personal care, and community activities
- Promote inclusion, independence, and positive relationships for every individual
- Manage rotas, staffing cover, and assist with recruitment and induction
- Liaise with families, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure joined-up support
- Uphold health and safety standards and safeguard customers at all times
What you’ll need:
- Experience in organising, supervising, and leading others in a professional or volunteering role
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- A compassionate, resilient, and non-judgmental approach
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and write reports
- IT literacy and confidence using digital systems
- A DBS check satisfactory to Peabody
- Care Certificate or relevant qualifications – desirable but not essential

Please Read Before Applying:
This role requires an enhanced DBS check and flexibility to work across a 24/7 rota on occasion, including overnight shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. You will also need to participate on an on-call rota across Saffron Walden and Halstead.
