Peabody is recruiting a Fire Risk Assessor to join our Fire Safety Team and play a vital role in keeping residents, visitors and buildings safe. The role supports the delivery of a high-quality fire risk assessment programme and wider fire safety compliance across our residential portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire risk assessments across nominated properties, producing clear, timely and pragmatic FRA reports that enable effective action planning.
  • Maintain accurate records using fire safety systems and prioritise workloads to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Liaise with operational teams to resolve fire safety issues efficiently and provide clear, proportionate fire safety advice to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders to ensure fire risks are identified, recorded and managed.
  • Support quality assurance activity and share learning and best practice across the team.
  • Share learning and best practice across the team to strengthen our fire safety culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NEBOSH Fire Safety qualification (or equivalent) and operating at a minimum of Tier 2 Fire Risk Assessor level.
  • Proven experience conducting fire risk assessments in residential premises.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Membership of a professional body such as the IFE, or a clear commitment to working towards this.
  • A driving licence is useful but not essential; public transport will typically be used.
