As an Operations & Gas Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of high‑quality property services across our defined regions. Acting as part of the Connect Property Services team, you will oversee repairs and maintenance, provide technical and commercial support to supervisory colleagues, and ensure an excellent customer experience at every interaction. You’ll work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement, uphold safety and compliance standards, and support the smooth and effective delivery of services to our residents.
In this role, you will lead the operational delivery of property services, ensuring day‑to‑day repairs, major works and gas‑related services are carried out efficiently, safely and to a high standard. You will support and guide the Supervisory Team, helping them to motivate and manage operatives while maintaining accountability for meeting KPIs, quality measures and budgetary requirements. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Peabody, coordinators and contractors to ensure services meet customer needs, adhere to statutory and organisational requirements, and embody our values of being easy, reliable and empathetic. Your day‑to‑day work will include overseeing compliance, monitoring operational risk, preparing reports, participating in meetings, supporting service recovery and driving a culture of improvement across all operational processes.
You’ll need to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week for meetings and collaborative working, this role requires a Basic DBS.
What you’ll need:
- Extensive knowledge of gas works
- Proven leadership experience within a direct delivery or operational property services environment
- Full and valid UK Driving Licence
- Strong project and programme management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyse data, solve problems and make sound decisions under pressure
