We’re looking for an experienced, values‑led Neighbourhood Manager to take the lead at Dagenham Green. This is a unique role where we are the client, and you will be responsible for working closely with, and holding, the managing agent to account to ensure our residents receive an excellent service.
About Dagenham Green: Dagenham Green is one of our most ambitious flagship developments, a sustainable, mixed‑tenure community set on the historic site of the old Ford Factory. Once complete, it will provide over 3,500 new homes, supported by more than 10 acres of green space, walking trails, a concierge service, on‑site amenities, and a dedicated work hub. The development will be managed in partnership with our appointed managing agent and offers a rare opportunity to shape a brand‑new neighbourhood from the ground up.
The role: We’re looking for an experienced, values‑led Neighbourhood Manager to take the lead at Dagenham Green. You’ll bring strong experience of mixed‑tenure environments and new‑build estates, a clear understanding of the risks and challenges that come with large, complex developments, and the confidence to manage relationships proactively and assertively. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact at a landmark new community while helping shape how the estate operates from day one.
What you’ll bring: To be shortlisted you will need to clearly demonstrate:
- Extensive experience working with managing agents, including holding them to account and managing complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Strong housing management experience, ideally including new‑build or large‑scale mixed‑tenure developments.
- Confidence, assertiveness and excellent relationship‑building skills, balancing partnership working with firm standards.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver excellent resident service.
- A commitment to our values and to putting residents at the heart of everything you do.
This is a field‑based operational role involving regular face‑to‑face contact with residents and flexibility to manage your own diary. The office base will be Dagenham Green once the management suite is open, and you will be expected to work from the Dagenham Green office at least 2–3 days per week. You will also be required to attend other offices as needed, for example to attend regional or organisation‑wide meetings.
Why join us? You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive service that is passionate about delivering the highest standards. Working at Dagenham Green means contributing to a modern, vibrant and sustainable community that is being built for the future.
This role offers the opportunity to:
- Shape service delivery on a flagship new estate
- Lead on relationship management with our managing agent
- Work on site several days a week, building strong resident connections
- Influence how a major new neighbourhood grows and thrives
What we offer:
- Flexible and hybrid working
- 30 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Up to 10% pension contribution, matched 1:1
- Two additional paid volunteering days each year
- Flexible benefits scheme, including options for healthcare, dental care, and more
- A Level 3 qualification in Housing Management if not already held.
What to expect from our recruitment process: We’re committed to a fair, inclusive, and transparent recruitment process.
Closing date: 13th February 2026 at midnight. First stage interviews will be held in person at Hugh Cubitt Community Centre (Islington) on the 23 February. Second stage interviews will be held in person at our Hugh Cubitt Community Centre (Islington) on the 27 February.
