We're looking for TWO compassionate and proactive Mental Health Support Worker to join our Islington team, helping customers build the skills, confidence and resilience they need to lead fulfilling lives.

This is a rewarding role where you'll support people on their journey towards greater independence, working in a person-centred, recovery-focused and trauma-informed way.

From helping customers manage their tenancies and finances to supporting their wellbeing and future aspirations, you'll play an important role in helping people flourish.

What You’ll Do

As a Support Worker, you'll work closely with customers to deliver tailored support that promotes independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes. You'll also:

  • Complete needs and risk assessments, support plans and regular reviews.
  • Build trusting relationships – helping customers develop essential life skills, including budgeting, money management and maintaining a home.
  • Support customers to sustain their housing and plan for their future accommodation needs.
  • Encourage customers to take an active role in their recovery, wellbeing and personal goals.
  • Work closely with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure customers receive the right support.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding, welfare and risk concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to achieving service objectives and performance targets.
  • What You’ll Need

We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and committed to delivering excellent support.

You'll be kind, empathetic and genuinely motivated to improve people's lives.

You’re a customer-focused individual, an effective communicator who can work confidently with customers, colleagues and external agencies.

You’ll also have

  • Experience of support planning, risk assessment and working with vulnerable adults, with an understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused and trauma-informed approaches
  • Excellent customer service skills and a genuine desire to help people achieve positive outcomes.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping systems.
  • A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 2 or above) or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a positive approach to challenges.
  • The confidence to lone work where required and contribute positively within a team environment.

Please note this role will require an Enhanced DBS check as well as participation in an on‑call rota.
