Shape the future of building safety documentation and make a lasting impact. We’re looking for an experienced Document Control Manager to establish and lead our document management framework across development and asset lifecycles. This is a brand-new role where you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with the Golden Thread of Information and driving best practice in building documentation across the organisation.
This hybrid role is based at Westminster Bridge Road, with a requirement to be in the office at least 2 days per week.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a robust document control strategy aligned to building safety and regulatory requirements
- Lead the management and optimisation of our SharePoint-based document management system
- Embed policies, standards and governance frameworks across development and operational teams
- Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and Golden Thread requirements
- Oversee document acceptance, quality checks and handover processes across projects
- Line manage and develop Document Controller(s), building capability and knowledge across the function
- Collaborate with Development, Design, Programme and IT teams to integrate effective documentation processes
- Drive continuous improvement and centralisation of documentation across the organisation
About You
- Proven experience leading document control or information management within construction, development or property
- Strong expertise in SharePoint and electronic document management systems (EDMS)
- Solid understanding of building safety requirements and the Golden Thread of Information
- Experience creating or implementing policies, processes and governance frameworks
- Confident managing stakeholders and influencing across multiple teams
- Strong organisational, analytical and leadership skills
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
