We’re recruiting a Compliance Data Officer to join our Investment team and play a vital role in keeping our buildings, residents and colleagues safe. This role is central to ensuring Peabody meets its statutory compliance responsibilities through accurate data management, clear reporting and strong governance. You’ll work with compliance data across key safety areas, including fire safety, gas, electrical safety (EICR) and lifts, supporting managers, the executive team and the Board with reliable, timely insight. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in a highly visible and important role.
About the Role
As a Compliance Data Officer, you’ll act as a central point for compliance information, ensuring data is accurate, up to date and audit‑ready. You’ll work across systems and Excel spreadsheets, translating compliance data into clear, accessible reports for both technical and non‑technical audiences. You’ll manage your own workload while working closely with colleagues across Compliance, Investment and operational teams, contributing to continuous improvement and enabling informed, risk‑based decision‑making.
What You’ll Do
- Manage, validate and maintain compliance data across statutory areas including fire, gas, lifts and electrical safety
- Produce accurate end‑of‑month compliance reports for senior leaders, the executive team and Board
- Monitor overdue compliance activity, escalating risks and supporting timely resolution
- Update central systems to ensure records are accurate, complete and audit‑ready
- Support onboarding of new buildings by ensuring compliance documentation is in place
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data gaps and compliance risks
- Contribute to improving compliance processes, controls and reporting tools
What You’ll Need
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence working with data and systems
- Experience working in housing, property or another regulated environment, ideally involving statutory compliance or safety data
- The ability to translate data into clear, meaningful insights for a range of audiences
- Confidence managing deadlines, prioritising work and working independently
- A collaborative approach and commitment to high standards, compliance and continuous improvement
