Community Manager (Over 55s Housing) Location: On site (Monday–Friday) Salary: £27,894 per annum (30 hours, pro rata of £32,544 FTE) Contract: 6‑month Fixed Term Contract Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week (9:00am – 3:30pm) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and organised Community Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day management of one of our over‑55s homeownership communities. In this rewarding role, you will support residents by providing advice, guidance, and practical assistance, helping to promote wellbeing while ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on residents’ quality of life. Key Responsibilities * Deliver effective day‑to‑day housing management within the community * Provide support, advice, and assistance to residents * Manage contractors, repairs, and maintenance services * Oversee communal facilities and ensure high standards are maintained * Maintain accurate financial records, including budgets, income, and expenditure * Raise purchase orders and manage administrative processes * Work closely with Residents’ Committees and attend meetings * Liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations to signpost residents to additional support * Respond to emergency situations where required (including occasional out‑of‑hours support) About You To be successful in this role, you will have: * Experience in housing management and working with older people * Strong customer service and interpersonal skills * Excellent written and verbal communication abilities * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office * Strong organisational and administrative skills * Knowledge of health and safety compliance * Understanding of the care and support needs of older residents * Ability to manage budgets and work independently while building relationships with stakeholders Please note: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
