Are you an experienced supervisor with a strong trade background in void properties? As a Void Supervisor at Peabody, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring empty homes are delivered back to a lettable standard safely, efficiently and within target timescales. Working with both direct operatives and subcontractors, you’ll oversee works on site, manage resources and ensure quality and compliance throughout the voids process. This is a hands‑on role where your technical expertise, organisation and commercial awareness will directly support income generation and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure void properties are correctly specified and amend specifications where needed to meet lettable standards
  • Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of void works, ensuring properties are returned within target timescales
  • Work closely with planners, operatives and subcontractors to make best use of labour and materials
  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure all works are completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, contractor standards, Health & Safety and organisational procedures
  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic CPS records, ensuring data is up to date and accessible
  • Monitor KPIs including resident satisfaction, productivity and completion times, using insights to drive improvement
  • Report risks, hazards and defects promptly, taking remedial action where required
  • Liaise regularly with the CPS Voids Team and supply‑chain partners, providing clear progress updates
  • Support general administration, correspondence and completion updates in line with service standards

What You’ll Need

  • Solid experience supervising works within a voids or repairs service across various property types
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance
  • Strong understanding of risk identification and site safety management
  • Experience planning and allocating resources efficiently
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse data and identify trends for service improvement
  • Good IT skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Relevant City & Guilds / NVQ qualification (or equivalent experience with strong references)
  • PASMA certification
  • Asbestos Awareness training
  • Willingness to participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota

Desirable

  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
  • First Aid Training
