Peabody is seeking a compassionate and motivated Trainee Recovery Worker to support people living in specialist housing services who are working towards recovery from substance use.

This is a structured development opportunity, providing training and hands-on experience to help you progress into a qualified Recovery Worker role within 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers with housing, health, finances and daily living.
  • Encourage engagement with recovery and treatment services.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships and motivate individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Help develop person-centred recovery plans.
  • Support case management alongside experienced Recovery Workers.
  • Follow safeguarding and risk management procedures.

About You

  • Passionate about supporting people to make positive changes.
  • Strong communication and basic IT skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilient, empathetic and willing to learn.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable people, transferable skills, or an interest in recovery services is desirable.
