Stock Condition Surveyor

As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you'll play a key role in shaping how Peabody invests in and maintains its homes. Your work will directly influence asset strategy, ensuring our properties are safe, compliant, and fit for the future . This is a great opportunity to combine technical expertise with real impact - supporting high-quality homes while delivering a strong customer experience across a diverse housing portfolio .

What you'll do

  • Carry out stock condition surveys across Peabody's homes and communal areas
  • Collect accurate data on building components, repairs, and lifecycle costs to inform future investment
  • Undertake HHSRS surveys, fire risk assessments, and DDA audits to ensure compliance
  • Upload and maintain high-quality data within asset management systems
  • Provide clear, practical advice on property condition to support planned works programmes
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to support delivery of investment programmes
  • Engage with residents professionally and build positive working relationships
  • Ensure all site activity is conducted in line with health and safety regulations

This role includes regular travel across your region to visit properties and requires a Basic DBS check.

What you'll need

  • Experience delivering stock condition surveys and related assessments (e.g. HHSRS, DDA audits, fire risk assessments)
  • HND/HNC in Building or equivalent technical qualification
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance
  • Ability to work independently, managing your own workload effectively
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
