Peabody Properties, Inc. seeks an experienced and seasoned Property Manager to oversee an apartment community in Reading, MA. The ideal candidate will effectively oversee all property operations and the overall direction of site office and maintenance staff while ensuring compliance with the existing Project-Based Section 8 program. Other responsibilities include ensuring each property is optimally occupied, properly staffed with skilled personnel, preparing budgets, monitoring compliance within budget constraints, and overseeing the processing of all resident certification/recertification forms.

Ideal candidates also have previous experience working in assisted living, senior housing, or human/social services settings.

Requirements of the Position:

  • Knowledgeable about affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, federally-assisted, and all state and local housing regulations;
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise;
  • Solid administrative, organisational, computer, marketing, and resident relations skills;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 5 years of related property management and supervisory experience;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Knowledge of Onesite is a plus;
  • Experience with Project-Based Section 8 recertification is required;
  • Experience working with seniors or in human/social services settings is a plus.
