PE Global is currently recruiting for a HR Officer for a leading multi-national manufacturing client based in Peterlee. This is an initial 12 months contract position working on site 5 days a week. Monday – Thursday 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Friday- 8:00-12:30. Pay rate is £18.73ph PAYE or £25.31ph Umbrella.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities:

  • Providing HR support to managers and employees and the HR team
  • Advising on Company Policies and Procedures
  • New employee onboarding
  • Interact with and counsel all levels of management, salaried & hourly employees, to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel, wage/salary and benefit related issues.
  • Recognition process co-ordination and support
  • Work closely with managers and Occupational Health to monitor and manage employee absence
  • Learning initiatives including supporting and attending STEM and Business Ambassador events.
  • Supporting employees and managers with general queries relating to systems.
  • Time and attendance support for employees and management in Workday
  • Process documentation and standard worksheets
  • Assisting employees with access and password reset problems
  • Assisting employees with Workday benefit changes
  • Various other human resources related clerical/administrative duties.
  • Operate a PC and standard software programs.
  • Order processing.
  • Prepare presentation materials as needed.

Education/Experience:

  • Variety of HR knowledge gained at sectional, divisional and departmental levels.
  • At least 2 years of on-the-job experience in a HR role supporting the work environment within Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong person-to-person skills are required as well as proficiency in managing the daily activities of an office or work area.
  • Vocational training and CIPD certification are strongly desired.
  • The incumbent may require knowledge of safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
  • Personal computer skills and the ability to use Office 365 applications are required.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
