PE Global is currently recruiting for an Operator to join our pharmaceutical client based in Swindon. This role operates on a day shift pattern of 3 days on / 3 days off, 07:00β19:00. The rate for this role is Β£16.37 per hour. This is an initial 11-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete documentation related to the encapsulation process.
- Operate and maintain up to two encapsulation machines, with cover responsibility for additional machines during breaks.
- Perform in-process checks and detailed product quality evaluations.
- Monitor material and gel usage, ensuring components are not used past expiry date/time.
- Coordinate machine changeovers with crib mechanics and assist with machine tear-down and setup where required.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Monitor and replenish solvents, lubricants, and departmental supplies.
- Handle and stage tray stacks containing manufactured softgels.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with GMP and site standards.
- Handle hazardous, non-hazardous, and DEA materials and waste safely and compliantly.
- Notify supervision of any batch record deviations, SOP issues, or potential production events.
- Support encapsulation operators during manufacturing processes and changeovers.
- Update SOPs for the assigned department as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating manufacturing or production machinery within a pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or GMP-regulated environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete accurate production documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high noise levels.
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and flexible to overtime/weekend work if required.
- Experience working with hazardous materials or industrial chemicals is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures and GMP standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
