PE Global is currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer for a leading multi-national manufacturer of construction and mining equipment client based in Stafford. This is an initial 12 month contract position working on site 5 days a week in Stafford. Pay rate is £30.87ph PAYE or £41.90ph Umbrella.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities:

  • Ensures external suppliers provide materials and services that meet a company's quality standards through audits, performance monitoring, and collaboration to resolve issues.
  • This role involves assessing supplier processes, verifying compliance, managing relationships, and driving continuous improvement to prevent defects and enhance product reliability.
  • Key responsibilities include conducting supplier audits, analysing data, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining a high-performing supplier network to safeguard product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Possesses experience in quality assurance, supplier management, process improvement, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge with APQP, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis is essential.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality Management preferably in Engine manufacturing industry.
  • Sound process knowledge in casting, Machining, Tubes & Hoses, Electrical & Electronics components.
  • Microsoft 365 packages.
  • Requires strong leadership, Project management, Analytical skills.
