PE Global is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join our scientific testing client based in Reading.
The role is an initial 5-month contract and the rate for this role is £15.00 p/hour PAYE.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory administration tasks to support day-to-day laboratory operations.
- Clean, prepare, and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Ensure laboratory consumables are stocked and readily available.
- Manage laboratory waste streams in accordance with safety and environmental procedures.
- Maintain high standards of laboratory cleanliness and organisation.
- Carry out routine calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Monitor and manage laboratory inventory and supplies.
- Ensure laboratory activities comply with quality standards, health & safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a laboratory or scientific environment.
- Experience carrying out laboratory support or laboratory assistant duties.
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow laboratory procedures and quality standards.
- Comfortable handling laboratory consumables, equipment, and waste safely.
- Experience with equipment calibration and inventory management is advantageous.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
