Performance & Emissions Certification Engineer

PE Global is recruiting a Performance & Emissions Certification Engineer for our multinational mining and construction client based in Peterborough on an initial 12-month contract. The rate range for this role is £25.11 – £34.08 p/h. This role is hybrid with 3 days onsite p/week.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Plan, schedule & execute engine performance & emissions testing across all Medium Engines products from 0.5l to 7.1l.
- Conduct and/or direct engine performance and emissions tests, checking data quality, test result integrity and regulation compliance.
- Write requirements, procedures, and reports and formally present on test outcomes.
- Plan, manage and deliver tests to tight time scales and to right quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum
- Combustion engine and aftertreatment calibration testing experience
- Engine performance and emissions certification test experience
- Knowledge of nonroad engine emissions regulations testing requirements
- Engine management interface software
- 3 years + experience of the above
- Knowledge and experience of CANape would be advantageous
- Microsoft 365 package knowledge
