PE Global is currently recruiting for a Quality Lab technician role for an initial 3 month contract role with a leading multinational FMCG client based in Aycliffe. 2-10pm required for this role but the candidate should commit to working other shifts: 10pm-6am / 6am-2pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Quality testing of site & offsite manufactured products and control of shipping release, meeting deadlines and ensuring quick communication of non-conformances to relevant manufacturing area.
- Adhering to all site EHS policies and site requirements.
- Operation of Quality testing equipment and testing systems.
Requirements:
- Previous Quality Experience or Laboratory background.
- Knowledge of SPC/SAP/DPQX.
- Knowledge of Product RSFs & Quality standards.
- EHS conscious, engagement in behavioural safety program such as SEE&ACT.
- Excellent attention to detail & able to analyse/understand data.
- Understanding and application of continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques.
- Competent IT skills - Working knowledge of Outlook, e-Matrix and SAP.
- Competent in report writing.
- Good organisational skills and progress chaser.
- Mathematically competent.
- Excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the organisation.
- Familiarity and understanding of test equipment.
- Able to work alone, demonstrating initiative and can interact well as part of a team.
- Shift working experience.
