PE Global Recruitment is currently working with a leading Data Centre delivery partner to recruit a Civil Project Manager to join the team in Blyth.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity.
The Job
- We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a
- Civils Lead to join the team on a major Data Centre project, near
Blyth, United Kingdom.
This position will play a key role in managing all Civil (CSA) activities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery across the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Lead and coordinate all Civil work packages throughout the project.
- Oversee site safety in collaboration with the safety team, ensuring compliance from setup through to project closeout.
- Manage site QA/QC activities in conjunction with the project and quality teams.
- Coordinate the project schedule with the Planner, Project Manager, Subcontractors, and
- Design Consultants to ensure all client and programme requirements are achieved.
- Support cost tracking and forecasting in collaboration with the project QS team.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, documentation, and reporting to ensure smooth progress.
- Direct and monitor subcontractor performance, including progress tracking, manpower levels, and quality of work.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and contribute to regular internal and client-facing coordination sessions.
- Attend and represent the civils discipline at Project Reviews, Engineering, Planning, and Handover Meetings.
- Support the project closeout process, including punch list completion, QA files, safety documentation, and material/plant demobilisation.
- Hold weekly commercial meetings with the QS team to ensure all variations and scope changes are captured and processed.
- Ensure all change management is properly documented and communicated (cost and programme impacts).
- Review and verify drawings, setting-out details, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate and close out all CSA snagging activities to the highest quality standard.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
- 7+ years’ experience in the CSA/construction industry, ideally within large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of project planning, sequencing, and scheduling.
- Proven track record in team leadership and subcontractor management.
- Excellent knowledge of site operations, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
