PE Global is currently recruiting a Logistics Operator on behalf of our client, a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Runcorn. The role is an initial 3 month contract and the rate for this role is £13.50 p/hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and coordinate deliveries, managing inbound and outbound goods accurately and efficiently.
- Pick, replenish, load, and store components and finished goods to support production schedules (BFS and PFS areas).
- Operate warehouse systems and perform SAP transactions, investigating and resolving any stock discrepancies.
- Complete all documentation and records in real-time in line with compliance and GMP standards.
- Support dispatch operations, ensuring timely shipment and correct completion of shipping documentation.
- Perform cycle counting and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping and adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
- Liaise with third-party vendors to manage waste streams and site hygiene compliance.
- Actively support the site safety culture, reporting unsafe acts or conditions through the correct channels.
Candidate Requirements
- Level 3 qualification (NVQ, BTEC, ONC, or City & Guilds) in logistics, engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, ideally within a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, food, aerospace).
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar warehouse management systems.
- Understanding of GMP and Health & Safety standards.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
