p strong PE Global are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer for a contract role with a leading multinational food manufacturing client based in Leominster. /strong /p p br /p p em Pay rate is £25.32 per hour - £31.68 per hour PAYE (depending on experience) /em /p p br /p p This will require a broad range of project management and engineering skills, with a focus on ATEX improvements across the facility. The role holder will directly manage the project and be responsible for projects that could have values up to £1MM in value. /p p br /p p strong Job Responsibilities /strong /p ul li Designs for factory development projects are developed, working closely with Manufacturing and BD E where required. /li li Detailed engineering design and specifications and developed for authorised Capital projects to meet requirements of safety, quality and hygiene at optimum output and efficiency, and lowest cost. /li li Manage the sites assets in terms of verification write off with a clear change control process. /li li Existing practices, methods and technology are challenged and opportunities to improve factory productivity, safety and quality are proactively sought. /li li Tender packages are prepared and reviewed, tender returns are evaluated, peer reviews conducted, and commercial terms are negotiated. /li li Solutions to problems are recommended so that they can be designed out to reduce operating costs, improve product quality, and improve safety performance. /li li Project costs are managed using ERP tools (SAP and Coupa) and capital spend is managed and forecast. /li li Manage contractors to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, to the highest quality standards with minimal disruption to the process. /li /ul p br /p p strong Requirements /strong /p ul li BEng/MEng in Engineering or equivalent experience. /li li APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent preferred /li li ATEX Regulations training or equivalent experience. /li li A minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry, preferably food, beverages or pharmaceutical. /li li Significant experience in the identification and delivery of Capital projects up to a value of £1MM. /li li Demonstrated experience in project delivery in high volume manufacturing environments. /li li Computer skills – spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Microsoft Word), graphics (PowerPoint), SAP, PLC Software (Rockwell preferable) SCADA screens. /li li Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) /li li Ability to organise your own time, manage your own agenda around site priorities. /li /ul p br /p p Interested candidates should submit an updated CV. /p p br /p p strong Please note our client cannot assist with any visa sponsorship and candidates must have the correct visa to live and work in UK /strong /p p br /p
