PE Global is currently recruiting for an Operator to join our engineering client based in Manchester. This position sits within the Machine Shop (Greengate) and involves hands-on work with metal components, hand tools, grinding tools and general shop-floor operations. An FLT licence is highly desirable but not essential. The role is an initial 6-month contract.
Pay Rate: £14.20/hr
Hours: 36hrs. Mon - Thurs 06.00-14.00 / 14.00-22.00 with 30min break. Fri 06.00-12.00 / 12.00-18.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Deburring and polishing of metal components
- Part marking duties as required
- Painting, stamping and stencilling of products
- Completion of route cards and other administrative tasks
- FLT duties where required
- General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe work area
- Performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment
- Supporting wider business needs and tasks as directed by the line manager
- Complying with all NOV company policies and HSE procedures
- Occasional travel as required
