PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Planning Analyst to join our manufacturing client based in Desford, Leicester.

The role is an initial 12-month contract with the potential to extend, and the rate for this role is £21.95 p/hour PAYE or £30.00 p/hour Umbrella.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) supply chain planning activities, including Plan For Every Part requirements.
  • Develop end-to-end supply chain solutions for new product launches and approximately 1,000 new part numbers.
  • Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop cross-functional supply chain plans and work closely with operations, procurement, logistics and suppliers.
  • Support inventory optimisation, packaging strategy, material flow and transportation planning.
  • Monitor performance metrics and contribute to improvements in service, inventory and operational efficiency.
  • Represent Supply Chain Planning in leadership and project forums.
  • Support continuous improvement projects, including a major RFID container tracking initiative.
  • Build business cases and use data analysis to support supply chain decisions.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver against concurrent project deadlines.

Requirements

  • 4–5+ years' experience within Supply Chain, Logistics or Planning, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, logistics planning and/or material planning.
  • Experience with Lean Logistics and inventory optimisation.
  • Experience supporting projects and delivering supply chain improvements.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and use data-driven approaches to identify improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and work independently.
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within automotive, heavy equipment, industrial or other complex manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction, packaging, inventory management or transportation planning would be desirable.
  • Power BI, Power Point and Visio experience is advantageous.
  • SAP or other ERP/MRP system experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
