PE Global is currently recruiting for 2 Entry Level Laboratory Assistants for a leading multi-national confectionery, food, holding, beverage and snack food company client based in Wokingham. This is an initial 6 month contract position until the end of 2026. Ideal start date as soon as possible. PAYE pay rate for this position is £13.12 per hour. Working hours are 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Duties of the role/Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for all scientific administrative tasks including lab administration, housekeeping activities and working in accordance with laboratory-set quality standards.
- Demonstrate high quality customer service, by ensuring that work is done on time, that the analytical data generated is reliable, and that the results are accurate and provided in a timely manner.
- You will also assist with routine checks/calibrations and control documentation to ensure that only the most current versions are supplied to analysts.
- This role will require you to work at the highest standards of safety and quality, maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment and completing assigned quality actions in a timely manner.
Education/Experience:
- Attention to detail, following written instructions and working on multiple activities concurrently.
- Education - A levels; the role doesn't require a university degree.
- Previous lab experience advantageous but this role is a junior level role; training will be provided.
- Accountability, honesty, hardworking, flexibility and adaptability, and working efficiently on a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
