PE Global is currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer for a leading analytical instrumentation manufacturer. This is a full time, permanent position covering the south of England.
Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 (depending upon experience).

The role involves:
- Carrying out and having experience of Field Service work including commissioning, calibration, repair and routine maintenance on a wide variety of customer sites & Industrial Markets.
- Working to local and industry procedures and complying with industry codes of practice while ensuring all work is carried out within the company Health & Safety guidelines.
- Keeping and maintaining spares inventory in the company vehicle for non-contract use.
- Liaising with our client's UK Office staff to ensure contract spares are taken to site for maintenance service visits and that any non-contract spares used are fully invoiced when fitted on customer sites.
- Ensuring that Safety Passport, EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue Card) & IOSH Managing Safely etc. are kept up to date.
Requirements:
- Relevant field service engineering experience, preferably within Power, Municipal Water, or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Experience of site procedures and working practices, including accepting, suspending and clearing work permits.
- Experience of writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Flexibility in approach to overnight stays and working away from home.
- ONC/D or HNC/D in Electrical/Electronic engineering or Instrumentation of Control.
- Ideally 3 – 5 years successful experience as a service technician or 3 – 5 years’ experience within an analytical instrumentation/calibration role.
- Basic knowledge of pure water systems/production or products used in online Power Plant chemistry analysis.
- Full, valid, clean driving licence and ability to travel extensively within the UK.
