PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our oilfield services and manufacturing client based in Aberdeen, Scotland (Birchmoss Industrial Estate). The role is an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance, and the rate for this role is £15 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of forklift trucks safely and efficiently within a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Load, unload, move and store materials, equipment and products across the site.
  • Operate 5T and 16T Counterbalance forklifts, 2T Reach Trucks (8m+ mast), and 8T Side Loader/Combi trucks.
  • Ensure all lifting and transportation activities are carried out in accordance with site safety procedures.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Support warehouse and logistics operations to ensure timely movement of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements and material handling activities.
  • Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid forklift certifications including B1, B3, M3 and D2.
  • Previous experience operating heavy-duty counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks and side loaders.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, logistics or oil and gas environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relating to material handling operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious and able to start at short notice.

Additional Information:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:30 (30-minute lunch break)
  • Hours per Week: 37.5
  • Work Location: Birchmoss Industrial Estate, Aberdeen
