PE Global is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for an initial 9 month contract role with a leading multinational oil and gas client based in Frimley. As a Project Manager within the Global Internals & Proprietary Equipment (IPE) team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of projects from the initial assessment of customer requirements through to final delivery and project close-out for both internal and external Process Systems customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage IPE projects from tender handover through to delivery and close-out.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality requirements.
- Coordinate activities across customers, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, costs, risks, and performance, providing regular updates and reports.
- Lead and support Project Engineers to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with NOV procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to the successful delivery of business objectives.
Requirements
- HNC/HND qualification or equivalent in an Engineering-related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Project Execution, Project Management, or similar engineering project delivery role.
- Demonstrable understanding of project execution principles and methodologies.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience supporting project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards and specifications, including NACE, ASME, NORSOK, PD5500, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Practical site-based experience within the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial sectors is advantageous.
Desirable
- Degree qualification in an Engineering-related discipline.
- Project Management qualification or certification is advantageous.
