PE Global is recruiting a field service technician for our oil and gas client on a permanent basis based in the Manchester area. The salary for this role is £35,000 per year with a £50/day per diem.
Important:
– Role requires travel at short notice and can be for extended periods (UK & overseas). Per Diem £50/day.
– Role Requires Completed apprenticeship – CSCS card to be held or able to be obtained.
– Preferably HGV/Heavy Plant Engineering.
– Will be working on sewage /industrial systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for service maintenance and workshop tasks. *This means travel at short notice and can be for extended periods
- Prepare and approve work packs for service team activities.
- Perform mechanical completion checks, factory acceptance tests, electrical function/loop checks, and leak/pressure testing.
- Compile detailed technical reports on customer equipment.
- Deliver aftersales support, including inspections, spare part identification, and technical advice.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Travel daily to customer sites as required.
Qualifications
- Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G, ONC, HNC). This is to be a completed apprenticeship – CSCS card to be held or able to obtain. Preferably HGV/Heavy Plant Engineering.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems.
- Understanding of industry standards and wastewater procedures. Will be working on sewage /industrial systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
