PE Global is recruiting an EHS associate for our industrial manufacturing client based in Stafford. The role is an initial 12 month contract and the rate for this role is £19.62 PAYE p/hour or £26.63 Umbrella p/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Performs inspections and tests planned to monitor specific EHS issues, regulations and company policies
- Assists in training employees on EHS guidelines, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to EHS
- Making and maintaining necessary EHS records according to established guidelines
- Contributes to the development of EHS policies and procedures
- Support with site wide general learning and development activities including creating training material, delivering training and sourcing external training
- Help to maintain site training records and to complete regular audits on these
- Supports the EHS management with any occupational health requirements
- Participate in incident investigations based on incident classification in partnership with specialists internally and externally or regulatory authorities to identify the root cause and help prevent recurrence
- Completes EHS, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits as required by site processes and policies
- Responsible for ISO compliance, Corporate EHS standard and compliance with all applicable local, state and federal environmental regulations including documentation, reporting, permits, manifests, etc
- Maintain a current working knowledge of H&S regulations and laws to provide expertise for H&S assessments, capital projects, work orders, and general H&S related problem solving at the site, regional and corporate level as needed
Requirements:
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance with knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies
- Good at project work, creating ideas and thinking outside of the box.
- Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker
- Working experience of a EHS role 1-2 years experience. Ideally in a manufacturing background.
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance with knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies
- Level Working Knowledge or PPE, COSHH, Risk Assessments, PUWER, Legal Requirements, Training, Waste Management, Sustainability, Contractor management, Cranes and lifting devices, Incident management, MHE, LOTO and high risk activity e.g working at height.
