PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Logistics Coordinator to join a major UK infrastructure and energy project based in Norwich. The role is an initial 6-month contract and the rate for this role is £195 p/day. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site logistics, material control, equipment handling, and storage management activities across the project.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate material deliveries to site with supply chain teams and subcontractors
- Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, handling, and preservation of equipment and materials
- Record and report damaged, missing, or non-conforming equipment
- Maintain accurate material tracking systems and case lists for incoming and stored equipment
- Coordinate remote storage facilities, including supplier engagement, approvals, and logistics arrangements
- Ensure proper preservation activities are carried out in line with project requirements
- Prepare and maintain storage location diagrams and material traceability records
- Support installation and logistics teams with delivery planning and equipment handling activities
- Manage handover documentation and material status reporting with subcontractors and project teams
- Participate in site coordination meetings relating to logistics, storage, and material management
- Ensure compliance with site quality, health & safety, and environmental procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and support safe lifting and handling operations
- Supervise and coordinate supporting storage and logistics personnel where required
- Previous experience in site logistics, material control, warehouse coordination, or construction logistics on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
- Experience working within energy, utilities, transmission, substations, renewables, EPC, or heavy industrial environments preferred
- Strong understanding of material traceability, equipment preservation, and storage management processes
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and reporting processes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
- Knowledge of lifting operations, HSE requirements, and safe material handling practices advantageous
