PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Configuration Support Engineer to join our multinational manufacturing client based in Desford, Leicestershire. The role is an initial 12-month contract and the rate for this role is up to £26.00 p/h PAYE or £35.60 p/hr Umbrella.

The Opportunity

As a Configuration Support Engineer, you will be responsible for arranging current and new product configurations and options, while maintaining engineering master models and machine bills of material. You will develop an understanding of the product portfolios and play a key role in implementing engineering design changes across current and future product programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to join the technical team within the Building Construction Products Division, working across multiple global regions including the UK, USA, India and Brazil.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing engineering change data and documentation to ensure compliance with change management policies
  • Communicating and coordinating engineering changes with product development, supply chain, manufacturing operations, sales and marketing teams
  • Preparing configuration documentation to support product development activities
  • Supporting engineering systems and continuous process improvement projects
  • Maintaining engineering master models and machine bills of material
  • Managing multiple concurrent activities and conflicting priorities effectively

Requirements

  • Previous engineering experience within manufacturing, off-highway, automotive, aerospace, rail or similar industries
  • Experience using PTC Creo and Teamcenter Engineering systems
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to conflicting timelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within global teams
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Degree qualification desirable, although equivalent industry experience will also be considered
  • Ideally 2–5 years’ relevant engineering experience

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Prior experience within a mobile construction equipment manufacturing environment

Additional Information

  • Fully onsite role based in Desford, Leicestershire
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Typical working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Some flexibility around start and finish times available
  • No travel required in the role
  • Interview process will consist of Teams interview followed by face-to-face stage
