PE Global is currently recruiting for a Material Handler to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing client based in Runcorn, Cheshire. This is an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. A start date would be expected to be in July or August 2026. The rate for this role is £12.71 p/hour.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility required) 36.75 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process goods inwards and outwards, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory transactions.
  • Pick, replenish, load and store components and finished products to support production schedules across BFS and PFS operations.
  • Operate warehouse systems, including SAP transactions, stock movements and cycle counting.
  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards in line with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot warehouse issues, resolve stock discrepancies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Complete warehouse documentation accurately and in real time.
  • Support waste management activities and liaise with third-party contractors where required.
  • Carry out routine equipment and warehouse safety checks, including FLT inspections and racking safety checks.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture by identifying and reporting hazards and improvement opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Quality and Logistics teams to ensure operational targets and KPIs are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ Level 3, BTEC National, ONC or City & Guilds Level 3) in Logistics, Engineering or a Scientific discipline.
  • Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence is essential.
  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable.
  • Experience within a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical, food or aerospace is advantageous.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
