PE Global is recruiting a Logistics Operator on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation based in Runcorn. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting warehouse operations and production activities across multiple manufacturing areas.
Rate: £12.71 per hour PAYE
Location: Runcorn
Hours: 36.75 hours per week
Day shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility required)
Annual leave: 25 days (pro rata) plus bank holidays
Contract duration: 3 months (potential for extension / renewal)
Key Responsibilities:
- Process goods-in transactions, stock movements and associated documentation.
- Pick, replenish, load and store components and finished products to support production schedules.
- Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Perform SAP transactions and maintain stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Support the operation of warehouse conveyor systems and resolve basic blockages.
- Complete warehouse documentation accurately and in real time.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate waste management activities and liaise with external service providers.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
- Assist with warehouse equipment checks, inspections and safety activities.
- Support investigations, corrective actions and compliance activities where required.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Promote a positive safety culture and report unsafe acts or conditions.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, company procedures and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation at all times.
- Work collaboratively with Quality, Operations and Engineering teams to achieve site objectives.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Essential:
- FLT (Forklift Truck) licence.
- Level 3 qualification (NVQ Level 3, BTEC National, ONC, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent) in Logistics, Engineering or a Scientific discipline.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
- Desirable:
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Experience using SAP.
- Experience within a regulated industry such as Pharmaceuticals, Food Manufacturing or Aerospace.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical warehousing or cold-chain logistics environments.
