PE Global is recruiting a Customs Coordinator in Warrington. The role is an initial 6 month contract role and the rate for this role is £17.35 PAYE or £23.55 Umbrella p/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of a Duty Management System (Ricardo) in accordance with HMRC requirements.
- Raise and send Import Instructions to Agents for the Peterborough facility and ensure they are fully compliant with HMRC requirements.
- Ensure all import entries are raised/completed/filed by due dates and are fully compliant with HMRC requirements to support team KPI’s.
- Support the continued use of Simplified Customs Declaration Procedures (SCDP) by ensuring that all import entries are raised/completed/filed by due dates.
- Authorises and verifies customs clearance agencies use of deferment account and apportions costs internally.
- Maintain the Imports Master Log so that accurate records are maintained for audit and trade compliance purposes.
- Liaises with suppliers (and customers), shipping lines & haulers in connection with the movement of goods.
- Processes/finalises insurance claims as/if applicable under the Maritime Insurance Policy.
- Ability to provide basic guidance and support to internal and external customers on HM customs requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous Supply Chain experience is highly advantageous.
- Customs and Transport industries would be most useful.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience.
- Problem solving skills, root cause analysis.
- Thinking outside the box.
- Excel skills incredibly useful.
