PE Global is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager for a leading multi-national Pharma client based in Cambridge. This is an initial 12 months contract position working hybrid, being on site a couple of times a month in Cambridge. Hourly rate is £28.01ph PAYE or £37.90ph Umbrella. LSP visits to Bedford required on an ad-hoc basis.
Duties of the role/Responsibilities:
- Ensure supply, meet service levels and stay within budget in a GDP compliant way.
- Support the implementation of cold chain solutions.
- Perform regular performance and business reviews with supply chain partners.
- Support internal stakeholders in escalating issues to supply chain partners by maintaining excellent relationships with third parties on appropriate management level.
- Maintain and manage agreements with supply chain partners.
- Showcase continuous improvement mindset to identify savings and other efficiency opportunities and drive results to finish line while improving quality, performance and GDP compliance.
- Assess implications of emerging trends or country legislation changes that may affect current distribution solution and cold chain practices.
- Build internal network within affiliates and corporate functions and participate in projects to achieve results in line with EU Supply Chain priorities and key initiatives.
- Plan, build and manage distribution lanes for the region/countries.
- Deliver on project assigned responsibilities.
- Work under minimal direction. Work is guided by operational and project objectives.
- Manage multiple assignments and processes independently and concurrently.
- Willing to travel up to 25% of time.
- Participate in conference calls, outside working hours.
Education/Experience:
- Master degree or equivalent related to Supply Chain/Logistics, Change Management or Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years experience in the logistics industry, in a role of supplier management.
- Supply chain, cold chain and warehousing expertise.
- Solid experience in project management across departments and geographies.
- Experience managing suppliers and improving processes.
- Fluent in English, both in verbal and written communication.
- Strong analytical skills (incl. MS Excel).
Preferred Requirements:
- GMP and GDP knowledge.
- Knowledge of Operational Excellence tools, six sigma, FMEA.
- Experience SAP.
- Experience setting up service level agreements.
- Good technical writing skills.
- Project Management certification.
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
